Each Angle is the Right Angle

It’s a little lonely when you realize not one person on this beautiful blue planet has exactly the same idea about anything the same way you do. Anyone reading this knows that personal experience dictates the way we see or think about an object, a person, a statement or a painting in the Louvre.

Obviously it has not been our greatest asset as sentient beings to agree on anything. Look at the Civil War in America for instance. From the same country, brother against brother from the same family fighting to the death on a battlefield over ideological beliefs. Willing to die for them.

We humans never have displayed a penchant for admitting that we’re wrong. Have you ever thought to yourself, “ if there wasn’t anyone else on this planet I’d feel just fine”? We’re not very good at taking someone’s word for anything. Unless is written in a book, Instagram or on a CNN newscast.

The thing is, everybody is right and everyone is wrong. We can’t see the exact same angle as another might be seeing it because it is not our experience, our truth.

There are not enough service providers, teachers or counsellors that will try to walk in their clients or the pupils experience. To many still operate from the belief their method is the only method. Anyone resisting is deemed untreatable so the counseling space or schoolroom becomes a small civil war battleground where no one wins. With some, the need for control is tantamount, after all, who needs a pupil or client that knows more than they do? Losing control means losing their own meaning and self efficacy.

Understanding that we are one family of equal worth will expand our humanness not diminish it. If another has an experience that I can benefit from why wouldn’t I want to integrate it and make it part of my own experience? We are here on this planet right now because we chose to be. Fulfilling our souls agenda means experiencing everything together. Admire your pupils and clients, they will teach you, and you will never feel lonely again💕
